Solid performance from Nicki. Somehow although minimal movement, her performance was natural and entertaining. Did I hear a couple of notes coming out her mouth? lol She be trying to really sing sometimes. I ain't mad at her. She said she was actually a singer first....Any who good ish, and Congrats to Nicki on all of her recent success. She got the game on lock right now. That is all...

Didn't strike as anything too noteworthy or different from his previous videos, but I'll wait for the premiere of the full clip to judge...

Trey did his thing. He delivered a solid vocal performance of the new single. SN: I wonder if the "Unusual" single will get a further promotional push, or are they just going to scratch that. It's a decent track, and I feel that maybe with a video it could do pretty well. I guess he'll be pushing this one first, then attempting to push that one. We'll see.
Jennifer Hudson Live on Oprah

She gave an amazing performance. Jennifer definitely has one of the most powerful voices in the industry. Although some times a voice can be a bit much, this performance proves that she can control her vocals and deliver a flawless performance. Her voice very much so echos the voice of a young Whitney, but arguably even stronger. Good stuff from J. Hud.

New Erykah Badu Video
Erykah Badu - Gone Baby, Don't be Long from beeple on Vimeo.
First off, the song is dope. It sounds like Classic Erykah Badu. She never really disappoints musically. This video though...I don't know how I feel about it. I mean I'm sure some cinematographer out there thinks it's great, and as far as special effects, editing, and all that good stuff, it probably is, but it was a little boring. I thought maybe she would have eventually start doing something else, but nope...One thing for sure is only Erykah can do something like this and get away with it. What did you think of the video? Maybe I missed something.... :/Wednesday, February 9, 2011

The Video for the "Break Up Song" Although not that HQ, it was a decent video. Definitely a relate-able storyline. The song is dope as well. As far as "The MC" the song is cool, but he could have kept that video. I would have rather them spend more time and money into the other video. Maybe it's just me...Good ish from Wale though.
Nicki Minaj "Pink Friday" Finally #1
According to Billboard.com Nicki Minaj crowns the Billboard 200 albums chart for the first time, as her "Pink Friday" set steps 3-1 in its 11th week on the list (45,000; up 18% per Nielsen SoundScan). "Pink" also pushes past the 1 million total sales mark this week -- 1,035,000 total since its Nov. 22, 2010 release. "Pink Friday" initially debuted at No. 2 and has since spent its entire chart life in the top 10.Minaj's patient wait for her turn at No. 1 is a rare sight. For the most part, an album is only No. 1 because it debuted there. It's unusual for a set to climb to the top. Case in point: in 2010, there were 30 albums that hit No. 1, but just one -- Lil Wayne's "I Am Not A Human Being" -- actually rose to the top. Wayne debuted at No. 2 off of just downloads, then fell to No. 16 the next week, only to reach No. 1 the next once the CD version of the album dropped. (Billboard)
That's What's up. Big Ups to Nicki for not only holding it down for female MC's, but Hip Hop in general. It is good to see a hip hop artist doing numbers like that in a short period of time, especially nowadays. I hope that her sucess continues, and I hope she keeps delivering the heat. She definitely has pressure for the next LP now...

New Music: H.A.M. (Travis Barker Remix), Snoop Dogg, Young Jeezy, Akon,Omarion, Jagged Edge, R. Kelly, Brandy, Dondria, and Ginuwine ft. Trina.
Travis Barker (H.A.M. Remix)-Travis a beast on the drums! That was a interesting spin on the hot track. I like...
Snoop Dogg-Decent Remix. I like it better than the original version.
Young Jeezy-Typical Young Jeezy track. Not bad though...
Akon-Decent pop track.
Omarion-Kinda sounds like something off his first album. Decent track. Don't see it being a big hit or a single for that matter. We'll see
Jagged Edge-Decent Track. Sounds like classic JE.
R. Kelly-Decent track. Sounds like a crossover track. With a cross between a R&B and Pop sound. But really Kells? What are you talking about? Dishes? Only you...lol
Brandy-Not strong enough for a comeback single but decent track. Not sure where the track surfaced from, but hopefully if it's on the new album it will only be a filler.
Dondria-Decent spin on the track. I knew we would get a female version of this one. lol She sounds good though...
Ginuwine ft. Trina-Decent. Don't think it's good enough to get him back where he needs to be (seeing as though it is a single) but we'll see. Trina nasty, but it's good to hear from her...lol

New Music: Big Sean ft. Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, T Pain ft. Chris Brown, Busta Rhymes, DMX, Jazmine Sullivan and more...
Big Sean ft. Chris Brown-Dope Track. Nice beat, Big Sean flowed well on the track, and Chris Brown kilt the hook as usual. Good ish.
Wiz Khalifa-Decent. The beat kinda reminds me of a Rick Ross beat. Goes pretty hard though.
Chipmunk ft. J. Cole/Chris Brown-Dope Track.
T Pain ft. Chris Brown-Dope Track. Sounds like it will appeal to Pop radio as well as the urban audience. This is a hit! (hopefully it will be a single)
Busta Rhymes-Murdered it as usual. I will be purchasing his next album. He is obviously trying to prove that he is a Icon in Hip Hop.
Trey Songz- Surprisingly killed the track, When i first saw that he did a remix I wondered how he would even touch the Hip Hop monster track. But he put a decent spin on the track.
T Pain-Decent Track.
Trina-It was decent I guess...Good to hear something from Trina.
DMX-Swizz killed the track...the sample was dope. DMX has a more natural flow on the track. Not as hard as before. pretty decent track. Solid performance from DMX.
T Pain ft. Jazmine Sullivan-Decent Track. T Pain's whining is kinda of irritating on the first verse at first listen, but Jazmine Sullivan saves the day! And she went in lyrically on the verse (yikes) lol

Black Eyed Peas Super Bowl Half-Time Performance

I am very indifferent about this performance. Let's start with the good: The staging, lights, choreo etc...was great. Artistically it was very interesting to watch. The people in the glow in the dark, doing all those different things was great. Sadly I watched and enjoyed that more than the performers (The Black Eyed Peas) That was one of the most boring performances I have ever seen them give. The energy just wasn't there from the group. I don't know if it was nerves or what, but I just wasn't feeling there stage presence. Fergie sounded the worst i think I ever heard her sound, and it was just not what I expected from them. The songs were hype, the dancers were hype, the crowd was hype, but it seems as though they struggled to give us energy. Although Usher arguably "saved the day" I was even disappointed in his performance. He kilt the dancing, as he usually does, but he barely sang, and I feel that there is no excuse seeing as though he only came out for half a song (just saying...) It wasn't a terrible performance but I expected a lot more...I am excited that they had a Hip Hop group this year though. I was tired of "Rocking it out" for the past couple of years. LBVS. A Interesting watch indeed...
Christina Aguilera Sings National Anthem Super Bowl XLV
She f**Ked up them words too hard! lol Other than that she sounded great. SN: Hasn't she performed the Star Spangled Banner before? lol Guess it happens to the best of em...
