New Video: Kanye West "All of The Lights"

I must say I was a little disappointed in this video. It would have been amazing if he could have got all of the people that are in the song to be in the video, but I'm sure that was nearly impossible. It's not a bad video I just expected a lot more. On the bright side of things, it didn't look cheap (With the exception of Rihanna's part),and visually it was pretty dope. I just think the overall concept could have been better. I'm sure we could all agree that we've seen better from Mr. West.

Decent performance...Something about dude is just weird to me but he is a good performer. The song is dope and fortunately he did do justice to it live. It's good to see some decent talent be displayed in this day and age, and not another auto-tuned clown. We need more new artist like him out there. On the other hand, I'm sure we having them out there, they just need to be recognized...Let's support GOOD MUSIC people...

Decent Performance. Although not a perfect vocal performance, this was one of her best showings of performing this song. I can tell she altered the choreo to allow her more time to sing without dancing. That was great idea. She needs to do whatever she needs to do to make sure there is a even balance of good vocals as well as choreo in her performances. Now if she can only perform another song for us! I wouldn't be upset if I ever heard this live ever again! Give it a rest Keri. On to the next single please and thank you!!!

Jennifer Hudson Live

She kilt that "Where You At" Performance. Stunning vocal performance. She is an incredible talented, and I am so glad she finally is receiving the recognition she deserves. She did an incredible job on "Natural Woman" as well...

New Music: Wiz Khalifa, Dirty Money, Swizz Beatz ft. Lil Wayne & Lenny Kravitz, Jadakiss, and Cee-Lo.

Wiz Khalifa-1st track-Dope Track. Cold beat, decent flow, good ole hood music...lol
The second track went hard as well, sound like some Rick Ross ish....The third track was decent as well, sound like some ridin' music...
Dirty Money-...the beat go hard, but I'm not sure how I feel about the way Diddy sound on this track. He should have just let the ladies sing...
Swizz Beatz-Sounds like it will be a dope track. I'm eager to hear the full HQ version....
Jadakiss-Dope Track...Motivational song, Pharell did his thing, and Jadakiss spit some solid verses...
Cee-Lo-Dope track. Decent beat, Cee-lo delivers classic sounding records. This track is no different. It kinda got a prince Vibe to it...

New Videos: Tank and Britney Spears

I must say, I was sleep on this track on Tank's album, and when the video first started I said to myself, "Why did he pick this one?" But by the end of the video I understand why he did. It is a dope song, and I feel the video went well with it. The song definitely builds up as it goes a long, and it is a great R&B record. It reminds you of one of those extraordinary R&B tracks. Good ish from Tank...Now Britney...Although the video was pretty visually pleasing, I must say Britney is not what she used to be...I don't know what it is, but you can just tell that they are using all of the lights, and special effects to hide the fact that Britney performance level is not what it once was. Her dancing and performing in general is becoming very mediocre and that's really all she has. Her voice isn't all that great, so she has to step it up on the performance side of things, which is something she used to be great at...I'm not sure what is happening with her,I know that she is better and has risen from her downfall, but she needs to step it up performance-wise and creatively. That is all...

New Music: Lupe Fiasco ft. John Legend, Eminem, Marsha Ambrosius, Mario, Bobby V., J. Holiday, Trick Daddy, and Timbaland.

Lupe ft. John Legend-Dope Track. John Legend did his thing. Lupe flowed well. Sounds like a very uplifting track.
Eminem-Decent Track. the Track probably would have been better if they had a known R&B singer on it, instead of a well know producer. Eminem definitely got off though. He is a beast!
Marsha Ambrosius-Decent Track. Sounds like "Love Without A Limit" By Mary J. is that what she sampled? I think so...The girl can sing he a$$ off! her voice is the truth.
Mario-Decent Track. Sound like the material released in the earlier days of his career. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to this track. I see it being a potential smash.
Bobby V-Decent Track. Nothing extraordinary about the track, but it's OK. Sounds like typical Bobby V. material.
J. Holiday-Dope Track. Good to hear some fresh sounding material from J. Holiday. I've been hearing a few tracks from him as of lately, but this one definitely stands out. Nice beat, catchy hook, a track folks can identify with. Good ish...
Trick Daddy ft. Young Jeezy-I don't know how to feel about this one. Good to hear something from Trick Daddy i guess?
Timbaland-Decent Track. It's a pretty random track, and Keri Hilson know she knows how to sound different on every track. What is her voice?! lol

New Lil Kim Video: Black Friday (Nicki Minaj Diss)

Wow...First of All, it took forever for this video to come out. With that said, the video was better than I expected. It definitely went with the song, and somehow managed to look not so "recession special." The track is the best thing Lil Kim has come out with as of lately, and she definitely came at Nicki kinda Hard. But what she gotta know is that Nicki is at the top of her game and she ain't going no where, no time soon. All of this beef is just giving Nicki more publicity, and I think it's given Kim more bad publicity than good. They both are talented female MC's and it's really a shame that this "BEEF" has to take place. They could probably make more money and do bigger things if they squashed it and worked together. What the attitudes that they have, I doubt that will happen anytime soon. SMH...SN: If Kim is really trying to make a comeback she needs to come out with more material like this, because everything I heard after this did not measure up to this track. I'm just saying...

New Song: E.T. Remix-Katy Perry ft. Kanye West

Dope Track. Kanye spit two solid verse. The beat go hard, Katy did her thing. It is definitely a hit in the making. Katy got swag...I can see it having a crazy video. Could this possibly be Katy's crossover song for urban formats? We shall see...

New Music: Eminem ft. Bow Wow and Drake, Pusha T, Cee-Lo, Snoop Dogg ft. R. Kelly, Rick Ross, Llyod, Miguel, Trina ft. Mya, Kevin Mccall ft. Chris Brown and Tyga, Justin Bieber ft. Chris Brown, and Ashanti.

Eminem-This was a decent mix of tracks. lol Who did this? It's dope though...
Pusha T- Dope Track. The song sounds like Stadium Music. When it first started it gave me the feeling a Jay Z or Kanye record usually gives me. This shit go hard!!!
Cee-lo-Dope Track. Cee-Lo killed this track. It sounds like a classic soul record. Mealanie Fionna was perfect on the track as well. Good soul music...
Snoop Dogg ft. R. Kelly-Decent. Kells is definitely back and doing his thing. The track has a nice beat. Snoop flowed perfectly on the track. Decent track not sure how it will do, if it is to be released. We'll see...
Rick Ross- Typical Ross track. Not bad, but it would be interesting for him to try different musical things. Everything sounds the same...
Llyod-Decent. From the start of the track, I thought the song would go a little harder than it did, but it's a smooth track. It could kinda qualify for "Adult R&B."
Miguel-Decent. It sounds VERY similar to "All I Want Is You" though...he needs to watch that, because a lot of his stuff sounds alike.
Trina-Dope Track. Mya sounds nice on the track. Trina did her thing, but Mya is the star on the track in my opinion. The Waist So Skinny track is decent as well. It shows more of her "baddest chick" swag. I like... Rick Ross flowed well on the track as well.
Kevin Mccall-Decent. His part was aight, but I ain't gon lie, I was waiting for it to get to Chris and Tyga. I'm just saying...The other song with Breezy was decent as well. That one would do better than the "360" I can hear it on radio. The "Tip Her" track is a good hood joint. lol
Justin Bieber-Decent Track. Is that really Justin Bieber? lol He kinda kilt that. It definitely sounds like a Chris Brown track, and he definitely did his thing.
Ashanti-I don't know how I feel about this one... It's kinda a joke...

Rihanna Live on Brit Awards

Surprisingly pretty decent performance...Although she really didn't do too much choreo-wise, she worked the stage a little, and the staging, lights, costumes, and all that good stuff was pretty good. I would give her props on the vocals, but I caught on to the fact that for the most part, she was singing over pre-recorded vocal, and when you actually heard her, it was far from amazing. I must say it was a very Beyonceish performance, but we all know Bey what have hit it a little harder.(just saying)...Overall, I must say i was pretty ENTERTAINED, and that's saying a lot from when it comes to Rihanna performances, so good job Rihanna.

Trey Songz "Love Faces" Official Video

First off, big-ups to him on choice of video model. She killin em! lbs The video is decent. Decent concept, and a little better than the videos that he has previously released, but I must say for some reason a lot of his videos are very similar. Most of them just all have the same feel. The two videos of his that stood out from the rest were "Bottoms Up" and "Can't Be friends." But "I Invented Sex" "Neighbor's know My Name" "Last Time" etc...they just all kinda mirror each other. I just want him to come with something TOTALLY different. Decent video though...

New J. Cole Video: In The Morning (ft. Drake)

The song is dope, and I can see how the video goes with the song, although it is kind of a recession special. This is his lifestyle though, so it definitely goes with the song. Drake got off too, I know I've heard this track before, but I think this was the first time I listened to the whole song. It go hard...

Tank killed it. A effortless vocal performance. His set flowed perfect, and entertained like a real R&B artist should. Ginuwine gave a decent performance as well, although the new song was kinda boring live, he hit his "classic" material. Although I don't know how I feel about his back up singers sometimes. (They be a little off, and that's not the first time i witnessed that...) Bobby V did his thing, but IMO definitely showed as the rookie out of all of the artist.

New Chris Brown Video

I know some may be Anti-Chris Brown rap. I personally didn't think it was bad at all. Chris Brown got a decent flow, and the beat was hot. I mean I didn't find too much wrong with the song, and the video fit for what it was...What do you think???

I'll first start with Kells. Although the performance was a little bit if a bore in the beginning, his metaphors at the end of that song are hilarious, and that part of the performances saved him. He also delivered a solid vocal performance as well. Although John Legend delivered as solid traditional R&B performance, what the hell was up with the tambourine and the Hip moving? Was I the only one that found his movement a little Sus? I don't know.... Mr. Legend is definitely a talented artist, and one of the best of our generation. I am ready for his next LP and hopefully he goes back in the direction of his first 3 albums, and no so traditional R&B if you know what I mean. I'm not knocking him for doing an album like "Wake up" but I would not want him to do things like that the rest of his career. Now to Whitney. Even though I am not sure if her voice will ever be the same again, she delivered a solid vocal performance as well. Nothing like it used to be, but solid for "New Whitney" Sad thing is she could out-sing half of the singers out now on her worst day. Did y'all peep how excited Brandy and Monica were in the front cheering her on? lol

Late Post: Chris Brown on SNL

.....Something was real awkward about the NO BS performance. I don't know what it was, but it was just kinda boring and random. I was surprised to see a performance like that from Chris Brown. Welp, can't win them all. He didn't sound bad at all though...Although the "Yeah 3X" performance had a couple of dull moments as well, he overall saved himself with that performance. The choreography contained fancy foot work, and high-energy. Enough to keep the audience's attention. Not bad...But I wouldn't be honest if I didn't say I expected more from Chris Brown for a SNL performance.

New Video: Diddy ft. Chris Brown "Yesterday"

"Yesterday" Diddy/Dirty Money Feat. Chris Brown from joseph labisi on Vimeo.

Video was decent...Not too much to talk about. The song is dope though. Chris Brown is continuously doing his thing. He will be around for a long time...SN:Why is Diddy spending all this money on all these videos. I really don't think it will help the sales of LTTP that much...I personally like the album, but unfortunately it is not doing all that well...

It is always interesting who The Academy chooses to win Grammy Awards. Many times the Academy chooses the obvious choice, and at other times they throw us a WTF?!
The Esperanza Spalding Best New Artist Win was a WTF momement, but I guess I can't say whether she deserved it or not, because I am not familiar with her Music. What I will say is that there were some people who definitely had more of a impact on the music industry as a whole (i.e. Justin Bieber and Drake)who probably were more deserving of the honor. But who are we to tell "The Academy" right? I just don't think it's fair that Music's biggest honor is chosen by a group of people that the general public doesn't even know...Although I am glad Fantasia won a Grammy, and she would have been my second choice in that category I definitely think Monica deserved to win Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, as well as Best R&B Album. Monica delivered a spectacular "R&B VOCAL PERFORMANCE" on "Everything To Me." Not saying that Fantasia didn't on "Bittersweet" but when you think about chart performance and airplay "Everything To Me" was a more successful track, but once again who am I to tell "THE ACADEMY." I will say that i was surprised that Jay Z reigned more victorious then 10 time nominee Eminem (Jay Z=3 wins, Eminem=2 wins.) Jay Z definitely deserved the honors as "Empire State of Mind" was a HUGE record.

Although it always baffles me how songs get nominated in category's such as John Legend's "Shine" which won best R&B song, when I go and listen to tracks as such, it is understandable why they got the nomination, and win in some cases. On the flip-side, i think the song that is deserving of the coveted "Grammy" is a song that is a good song, but also a song or album that is well known, and successful on the charts, and in sales. But for the last time, who am I to tell "THE ACADEMY." SMH...

The performances at this year's Grammy's were OK. They could have been a lot better, or maybe it was just the Performers that were chosen. The Aretha Franklin Tribute was pretty good. It could have went without a few folks on the stages (that shall remain nameless) but Christina, Jennifer and Yolanda definitely did there thing, and proved why they should be up there saluting "The Queen." Lady Ga Ga's performance was "Entertaining" but honestly I'm tired of her. She just does TOO MUCH for me. It's so much, that it is becoming the same...Bruno Mars, B.O.B, and Janelle Monae killed it with a Medley of their tracks. Bruno's voice was off at times, but he still managed to give a great performance. B.O.B. did his thing for the few seconds he was up there, but Janelle Monae killed it, giving a energy-filled, great vocal, and ENTERTAINING performance. Justin Bieber an Usher's Performance was cool. Justin did well, and Jaden Smith came out and kinda kilt it. I must say, although Usher is my dude, I am tired of seeing this same "OMG" performance, I would have much whether him perform something else...The choreography was on point though (as always.) Cee-Lo is a clown! Although he did well, and I even liked the puppets in stuff (Although bizarre) WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT HE HAD ON!!! Like dude....What are you doing??? Becoming George Clinton??? lol I didn't know how to feel about that...Eminem, Rihanna, and the legendary Dr. Dre did there thing...Rihanna surprisingly delivered a decent vocal performance on "Love The Way You Like" Eminem gave a heart-felt performance, and Dr. Dre and Skyler Grey did their thing...Katy Perry's performance was Good...I wanted her to do Firework, but I obviously can't have it my way...lol Rihanna and Drake's performance was Aight...Rihanna really needs to spend time working on her dancing, because it is just all over the place, and not clean at all. She also hit a couple of flat note, but What's new? Overall the Grammy's were just OK for me this year...There was nothing really to rant and rave about, but not a bad show either...
